Pink Butterfly Model Kit

Set aside about 90 minutes for this 79-piece construction kit. The build is rated easy, with illustrated instructions organized into separate stages for the electronics, butterfly, and floral support. You start by checking that the motor and lights work, then assemble the body around the mechanism using small screws.

Wing Materials

Layered Wing Design

The wings combine flexible PVC with teal inner sections and champagne detailing. At 0.15 mm thick, they form a broad, translucent outline around the compact ABS body. Long tapered tips and cutout shapes define the outer edges, while a blue decorative gem sits between the wing joints.

Motion Control

Touch Control and Automatic Stop

Switch on the power underneath the base, then touch the copper button on top. A miniature planetary motor drives this mechanical puzzle through connecting rods, producing a repeating wing motion. Each run lasts three minutes before stopping automatically, and the motor changes speed as the cycle progresses.

Light Effects

Rose and Antenna Lighting

A warm yellow LED lights the pink rose from within, while blue light flickers at the antenna tips. The model runs on three 1.5V AAA batteries, which you'll need to supply separately. The battery compartment sits underneath the base, so you can replace the batteries without taking apart the butterfly.

Floral Display

Metal Stem and Orchid Detail

Standing about 9.1 inches tall, the finished DIY model measures 155 × 145 × 230 mm overall. A curved metal stem supports the flower above a round pink base. Small leaves follow the twisting vine, and a suspended orchid hangs from the upper curl beside the rose.

Assembly Supplies

Toolkit and Part Preparation

The supplied toolkit includes a screwdriver, tweezers, grease, cotton swabs, and a sanding stick. You'll also need model nippers, which may not be included. Use the grease only at the points marked in the instructions, and remove leftover attachment tabs before fitting the parts together.
