Mars Outpost Marble Run Layout

The finished layout is built around a futuristic outpost rather than a conventional open track. Its course passes through distinct station-style sections, including a funnel helipad, enclosed terminal, tunnel corridor, and relay station drop. Orange, blue, and yellow details appear across the modules, track sections, and illuminated interior of the structure.

Powered Motion

Electric Marble Lift and 185 cm Orbital Track

The electric lift carries each marble back to the upper section, where it enters the course and continues through the 185 cm orbital track. After traveling through the route, the marbles return to the lift and rise again, creating the repeating circulation that turns the mechanical puzzle into a working marble system.

Lighting Modes

Dual-Mode LED Lighting

The LED system has separate marble-running and lighting-display modes. In marble mode, a touch starts the lift and the lights flash while the marbles circulate; operation stops automatically after 10 minutes. In lighting mode, the lift stays off while the lights respond to surrounding sound and flash with the rhythm.

Modular Expansion

Parallel World Connection Layouts

Mars Outpost can connect with other Parallel World marble run models through round side entrances and lift modules. Supported layouts include horizontal extension, vertical stacking, and four-grid stacking. Depending on the layout, the lift sends marbles into neighboring or upper models before they travel through connected tracks and return to the lift.

Assembly Structure

Modular Construction and Numbered Parts

Assembly is organized in modules, with sections joined by socket-type boards. Numbered pieces are matched to illustrated steps in the manual, and ROKR also provides video guidance for the build. The process separates the outpost into smaller sections before those sections are connected into the finished structure.

Power Setup

USB Power Connection

Mars Outpost uses USB power for its motorized lift and lighting functions. The connection uses a Type-C interface, so the display location should have access to a compatible USB power source when those functions are used. This is especially relevant if the finished model will sit inside shelving or an enclosed display cabinet.
